Vivian Yuen was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia. She attended the University of British Columbia, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2001 and a Bachelor of Laws degree in 2004. Ms. Yuen was admitted to the British Columbia bar in May 2005.
Vivian practices in all areas of immigration law, including work permit applications, BC provincial nominations, skilled worker applications, spousal sponsorships, applications on humanitarian and compassionate grounds, residency and sponsorship appeals, and judicial review applications at Federal Court.
Ms. Yuen is a member of the Immigration Section of the Canadian Bar Association (BC). She is the Co-Chair of the Events Planning Committee of the Canadian Bar Association (BC) Women Lawyers Forum.
Vivian has presented and written a paper on labour market opinions for the Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia.
Ms. Yuen has been a commentator on immigration issues for Sing Tao Daily and has written articles on various immigration topics for World Journal.
She volunteers with Access Justice.
Vivian can speak Cantonese and is learning Mandarin.
